Washington DC’s Kennedy Center Plans for Fall Reopening

The Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington DC plans to reopen in September of 2021. The venue has planned a series of events to mark their 50th anniversary.  The venue will follow COVID-19 safety protocols.

The Center’s 50th Anniversary Celebration kicks off September 14th with a 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert by the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas.

The year of 50th Anniversary Celebration events will wrap up in September of 2022 with a re-staged production of Leonard Bernstein’s MASS, which was originally commissioned for the opening of the Kennedy Center in 1971.
