Fun Home, the 2015 Tony Award Winner for Best Musical, will be the act to re-open San Francisco’s Curran Theatre, following extensive renovations to the venue. There’s a connection between the hit Broadway show and this San Francisco Venue – Carole Shorenstein Hays, who purchased the Curran Theatre in 2014 is one of the producers for Fun Home.
The Curran has a history of Broadway connections. Pre-Broadway tryouts of several shows have been staged there, including Wicked and Beautiful, both of which went on to become huge Broadway hits.
Fun Home will play at the Curran from January 25 – February 19, 2017.
