AK-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona is no longer AK-Chin Pavilion.
In a new release posted at their website on January 11th, venue owner Live Nation announced that “Talking Stick Resort is the new name-in-title sponsor of the popular venue formerly known as the Ak-Chin Pavilion.”
The venue now known as Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater opened in 1990 with a Billy Joel concert and has hosted a steady stream of concerts ever since.
The amphitheater is located near Interstate 10, west of downtown Phoenix. There are several hotels located nearby, including a cluster of hotel options located near the intersection of Interstate 10 and N 51st Avenue, about four miles from the amphitheater.
