Patti Smith has been announced at a headliner for the 2020 edition of Big Ears Music Festival. Smith will perform with her band and present a literary program during the event.
Big Ears features music from a wide variety of genres, with an emphasis on the avant garde. Performances take place in a variety of venues located around downtown Knoxville, Tennessee. In addition to the music, the event features films, literary events, talks, workshops, and interactive experiences.
Big Ears 2020 takes place March 26 – 29. Tickets are on sale now through the festival website.
Three new downtown Knoxville hotels will be available for Big Ears attendees. Hyatt Place Knoxville Downtown, Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown, and Courtyard by Marriott Knoxville Downtown all opened this year and are located in the heart of Knoxville’s downtown, close to all the Big Ears action.
