According to a July 11 SouthFlorida.com article, the Fort Lauderdale City Commission has announced that the Tortuga Music Festival will return to Fort Lauderdale Beach April 12 – 14, 2019. This will be the 7th year for the festival, which aides the Rock the Ocean Foundation.
The ocean conservation tie-in yield big results when it comes to festival site tidiness. Volunteers scour the beach for trash throughout the event and the site is reportedly left as clean or cleaner than it was pre-festival.
No performer information for the 2019 event has been announced.
The 2018 Tortuga Festival lineup included Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Eric Church, Snoop Dogg, Brothers Osborne, Lee Brice, Dwight Yoakam, Kip Moore, Dan + Shay, Cheap Trick, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and more.
