Outside Lands Music Festival takes place August 10 – 12 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA. The event always popular and this year’s line-up, featuring The Weekend, Florence + The Machine, Janet Jackson, Future, Beck, Odesza, and many, many more will likely draw a big crowd.
There aren’t many hotels near Golden Gate Park, and parking near the park is extremely limited. Parking passes sold by the festival go for a whopping $255 for a three-day pass!
It looks like the best bet for most festival-goers is the 3-Day Shuttle Pass available for $48. The shuttle runs each day of the festival, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday & Saturday and until 11:00 p.m. on Sunday. The shuttle runs between the festival site at Golden Gate Park and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in downtown San Francisco. If you book a hotel that’s within walking distance of the Civic Auditorium, you’ll be all set, and good news is that there are many hotels located near the auditorium.
There are also near BART, MUNI, and Caltrain stops near the Civic Auditorium for those staying farther away. See directions for taking public transit to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
