The amphitheater space at the Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia, has been renamed Virginia Credit Union Live!.
The venue, formerly known as the Classic Amphitheater at Richmond Raceway, is a 6,000 seat concert space next to the race track.
The renaming is another step toward rejuvenating the racetrack venue, which fell on hard times and stopped booking shows from 2000 to 2013, when summer concerts resumed. Last year, the Raceway entered into a 10 year contract with AEG Live as booking agent for the venue.
The first event listed at the new Virginia Credit Union Live! website is a September 2oth Portugal. The Man concert.
