Last year’s big fall concert event in Indio, Calfornia was Desert Trip, two weekends of music by rock icons such as The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCarney, and The Who, held on the fields of the Empire Polo Club.
For 2017. the fall offering at the Empire Polo Fields is Desert Oasis, happening October 7 & 8.
The line-up for Desert Oasis has an emphasis on Reggae, but includes a mix of other genres as well. Scheduled performers include Damian “J. Gong” Marley, Rebelution, Steel Pulse, Los Lobos, JBoog, Reel Big Fish, Warren G, E-40, The Green, Murs, Fishbone, Fortunate Youth, Kinky, Inner Circle, and more. The Polo Fields are also where the annual Coachella and Stagecoah music festivals are held, making Indio a powerhouse location in the music festival world.
Indio’s greater Palm Springs area location provides lots of lodging options for concert-goers, with plenty of hotels and vacation rentals nearby.
