Fort Lauderdale’s New Riptide Music Festival

Concert-goers can escape the cold this December and soak up some sun while they enjoy a combination of alternative and classic music on the beach.

The inaugural Riptide music festival happens December 3 & 4 at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park.

The line-up for the festival includes Awolnation, Silversun Pickups, Dirty Heads, Mike Snow, The Struts, Good Charlotte, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Robert Delong, Pepper, Glass Animals, and Saint Motel on Saturday. Sunday’s line-up includes Earth, Wind & Fire, The B-52s, Expose, The Fixx, Howard Jones, Lime, Flock of Seagulls, and Debbie Deb.

Tickets go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on September 30 at the festival website.

The eclectic list of performers is likely due to the event being produced by Entercom Radio Miami, which owns three radio stations with alternative, adult-contemporary, and classic rock and pop formats.

Stay at a nearby Fort Lauderdale hotel and enjoy a weekend of music.
